VCF 9.0 - Speaker Biography

Aram Attarian

Aram acquired his technical training (mostly analog) in the US Air Force. His first technical job was in the nascent cable industry. His career in computers began in 1977 working at a true industry pioneer, Processor Technology, as an "Applications Engineer."

From Processor Technology he went on to NorthStar Computers (1979) eventually moving into sales. Following that, he served in sales at Apple (1983), TOPS (1986), Sun Microsystems (1988), and a few obscure startups, then began consulting.

After 25 years in high tech, Aram changed careers to become an Employment Specialist helping people with disabilities find jobs. The pay is lower but the work is more rewarding, and life without sales quotas and staff is much saner.
